Sangareddy: A panchayat secretary M Jaganadh (28) committed suicide by hanging at Minpur village of Pulkal Mandal in Sangareddy district on Wednesday.

The deceased accused the sarpanch and a ward member of Isojipet village, where he was posted, of harassment for excess funds. In a two-page suicide note found in a note book besides him at his residence, Jaganadh said his family was in deep financial trouble.

The exploitation of the elected members of the gram panchayat had further pushed him into deep crisis financially. Apart from exploiting him seeking funds, Jagandh alleged that the panchayat members ill-treated him. The Pulkal police have registered a case and investigation is on.

The body has been shifted to Government Hospital Sangareddy for postmortem.
