Sangareddy: Patancheru Police have cracked the murder case of the Kadavath Raju (32), whose beheaded body was found on the banks of Manjeera river near Raikode on Saturday, and arrested six out of seven accused on Sunday.
Producing the accused before media here on Sunday, DSP Patancheru Bheem Reddy said that the deceased Raju Nayak, who is a resident of Velimela Tanda under Tellapur Municipal limits, was into real estate business. While selling out 32 guntas of land of his relatives to a real estate firm, the DSP said that Raju reportedly took Rs 50 lakhs from the buyers without the notice of sellers.
When the relatives questioned after coming to know about the incident, Bheem Reddy said that Raju has evaded them without answering. Fed up with his behaviour, the land owners Kadavath Ram Singh, Kadavath Venkatesh, Kadavath Mallesh and Varthya Balu have hatched a plan to eliminate Raju. These four accused have offered Rs 10 lakhs sufari to Neerdi Vishnu, and Pallepu Ramesh, residents of Kavalampet in Kandi Mandal and Kunchala Madhav, resident of Sangareddy Chowarasta.
On January 25, Ram Singh had invited Raju to Indrakaran to sort out their financial disputes. After having a liquor party, the seven member gang hacked and stabbed him to death. The body was carried to Raikode in a car. After separating the head, they had dumped the head and torso at two different places. The DSP has congratulated Inspectors N Venugopal Reddy, Srinivaslu and Ram Reddy for cracking the case in less than 48 years. Except Kunchala Madhu who was absconding, the rest six were arrested.
