Sangareddy: Villagers stage rasta roko demanding new road
The villagers of Sirur blocked the road to protest the government's neglect. They pointed out that numerous accidents have occurred on this stretch due to the government's failure to repair the road, despite repeated appeals to officials and elected representatives. Farmers from the area also complained that the dust from the road is damaging nearby crops, disrupting households along the route, and affecting local businesses.

Sangareddy: Villagers staged a rasta-roko at Sirur village in Raikode mandal demanding that the government lay a new road from Haibatpur to Raipally.
The villagers blocked the road to highlight the neglect of the government. The villagers of Sirur said that many people met with accidents on this stretch as the government failed to take up the works of the road, despite taking the issue to the notice of officials and elected representatives multiple times. The farmers from these villages said that the dust was also damaging the roadside crops, causing inconvenience to households living along the road and business establishments.
If the government did not act immediately, the villagers warned that they would intensify the protest. The protest resulted in a traffic jam as they blocked the road for more than an hour The police convinced the villagers to withdraw the protest assuring them to take the issue to the notice of the officials.
