Sangareddy: Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday said the State government had made all arrangements to set up 480 Oxygen Supplied beds in four Area Hospitals and Government Hospital in Sangareddy besides making available enough Remdesivir medicines.

Officials participating in a review meeting with the Minister informed him that the district had 984 Oxygen supported beds including 480 in government hospitals. They said that 444 of them were vacant as of Sunday. The Minister suggested the officials stipulate the fee to be charged by the private hospitals for Covid-19 treatment.

He asked the managements of private hospitals to only charge the stipulated fees. The Minister has said that they will place a board at all the private hospitals. Asking the drug administration to ensure the supply of Remdesivir injections to 28 private hospitals in Sangareddy district, Rao has said the effort will reduce the burden on government hospitals.
