Sangareddy: A woman, who came under a bus that went out of control, had a miraculous escape with minor injuries at Kothur (B) in Zaheerabad Mandal of Sangaredy district on Sunday.
According to Zaheerabad police, Sukkamamma (45) and Chandramma, both residents of Kothur (B), were crossing the road when a Bidar-bound Karnataka bus hit them. While Chandramma was pushed aside by the impact, Sukkamma came under the wheels of the bus. When passers-by and the passengers in the bus thought she would have died, but Sukkamma, who was stuck under the bus, was crying for help as the bus came to a halt. On being informed, police rushed to the spot and pressed a couple of cranes into action which lifted the bus and they pulled Sukkammma out from underneath the vehicle.
After being rescued, Sukkamma, who was able to walk on her own without taking any help, was taken to the Area Hospital at Zaheerabad by a vehicle. Her condition is said to be stable.
