Hyderabad: Sanjay Kumar Srivastava of the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) has taken charge as General Manager, South Central Railway. He belongs to the 1988 batch of the Indian Railway Engineering Service (IRSE).
Prior to this posting, he served as General Manager, Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE), where he played a key role in implementing various technological advancements and civil engineering policies.
With an illustrious career spanning RDSO, RITES, and the Railway Board, Srivastava has made significant contributions to railway infrastructure, metro projects, and advanced rail technologies, cementing his leadership credentials.
Before this, he served as Principal Executive Director (Infra-1) at RDSO. During his tenure, he contributed to the development of advanced rail technologies, including 60kg R350HT grade rails, SRT/DRT with nine probes and B-scan facilities, and phased array USFD for flash butt joints. His collaborations with the M&C Directorate and Bhilai Steel Plant were pivotal, a press release said.
