‘Sankeertanotsav’ ends on grand note

Organised by Sampradaya and Hope Advertising Private Ltd, the devotional music festival featured some of the best performers from Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The week long ‘Sankeertanotsav’, celebrating the divine music during the month of Dhanur Masam featuring well-known musicians from across Hyderabad and elsewhere, concluded on January 3. Organised by Sampradaya and Hope Advertising Private Ltd, the devotional music festival featured some of the best performers from Hyderabad.

The festival started with a soulful vocal concert by young musician Sriram Jonnalagadda. The second day featured the thundering presentation of Mridangam Laya Taragnam, a concept curated and presented by noted mridangam player Parupalli Phalgun.

A highly engaging Harikatha by MV Simhachala Shastry, boosted the New Year’s spirits. His quirky take on the current affairs, adept knowledge of several holy scripts and charming presentation made it a must watch, according to a press release.

The sixth day featured an energetic presentation of Puja and Divyanama Sankeertana by JS Eswara Prasad and JS Sriram, which turned the programme into a divine experience. On Sunday, the same team performed Kalyanam festivities of Lord Sitarama, which was an amalgam of culture, tradition and good quality music.

During the concluding function, K Suneeta, Director, Hope Advertising Pvt Ltd addressed the web audience about Sampradaya’s organizational setup and Hope Ad TV’s efforts in producing high quality programs.
