Sankranti rush: Rachakonda police advise alternative routes for motorists on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway

The police asked the people to use the ORR Ghatkesar exit – Bhongir – Valigonda - Ramanapet – Chityala Junction route or the ORR Bonguluru exit – Nagarjuna Sagar Highway – Ibrahimpatnam, Haliya – Miryalaguda – Kodad route.

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police urged the motorists bound towards Vijayawada in view of Sankranthi vacation to take alternate routes in view of heavy rush expected on National Highway 65.

The police asked the people to use the ORR Ghatkesar exit – Bhongir – Valigonda – Ramanapet – Chityala Junction route or the ORR Bonguluru exit – Nagarjuna Sagar Highway – Ibrahimpatnam, Haliya – Miryalaguda – Kodad route.

The police advised people to plan their journey in advance to avoid peak hour traffic, obtain or recharge their ‘Fastag’, check for traffic updates before starting their journey, follow traffic rules and more importantly take periodical breaks and rest during the journey.
