Satavahana University students explore Kawal
Thirty Satavahana University students participated in a nature walk at Kawal Tiger Reserve as part of Wildlife Week. Accompanied by faculty members and Forest Department officials, they observed animal pugmarks, scat, plant species and the landscape and learnt about birds

Mancherial: Thirty students from Satavahana University in Karimnagar took part in a nature walk organised by the Forest Department as part of the ongoing Wildlife Week at the Kawal Tiger Reserve on Saturday.
Led by Dr Saini Kiran, head of the department, four faculty members from the Botany Department accompanied the MSc students during the walk between Gate No. 5 and Maisamma Kunta. The students had first-hand exposure to wild animal pugmarks, scat, the nature of the landscape and various plant species during the event. They also learnt about bird species identified during bird walks.
The students said they benefited from the nature walk and thanked Forest Department officials for inviting them to the event. Jannaram FDO M Rammohan, Forest Range Officer Baba Khadar Wali, FSO Hanmanth Rao and others were present.
