Satavahana University to conduct second convocation on Friday

Satavahana University is all set for its second convocation on Friday. Governor and Chancellor Jishnu Dev Varma will attend as chief guest and present 161 gold medals and 25 PhDs. The Governor will also meet officials and local achievers.

Karimnagar: The stage is set for the second convocation of Satavahana University. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the event to be held on the university premises on Friday.

Governor and Chancellor of the University, Jishnu Dev Varma, will be the chief guest at the convocation ceremony. A total of 161 gold medals and 25 PhDs will be presented to students by the Chancellor.


The Governor, who will arrive at Satavahana University at 10.50 am, will participate in the convocation programme from 11 am to 12.30 pm. He will also visit the Collectorate office to view exhibition stalls showcasing locally made handicrafts, silver filigree and food items.

Later, he will hold a meeting with the Collector, TB officers and Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) representatives. He will also interact with prominent writers, artists and eminent personalities including national and State-level awardees.
