Hyderabad: Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy felicitated Kidambi Srikanth who returned to city after clinching a silver medal at the BWF World Championships in Spain, at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Gachibowli on Tuesday.
The SATS chief presented a bouquet and a shawl to the shuttler who scripted history by becoming the first Indian male badminton player to win a silver at the prestigious event. Venkateshwar Reddy lauded the athlete and hoped he would bring more laurels to the country.
