Hyderabad: Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) has assured all help to the Telangana Boxing Association for organising the Boxing National Championship in Hyderabad, the authority chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy said here on Saturday.

Speaking to a delegation of the Telangana Boxing Association which called on him, Reddy asked the association to contact the Boxing Federation of India to get all necessary permissions for hosting the Boxing National Championship. He also said the Telangana boxer Nikhat Zareen, who got a gold in the recent national boxing championship in Hisar, would be felicitated grandly by the Sports Authority. Similarly Niharika, another boxer who won a bronze, would also be felicitated.

On the occasion, TBA president B D Manmohan was felicitated. Manmohan, a retired police officer, was an international boxer hailing from Hyderabad city.
