Hyderabad: Sports Authority Telangana State (SATS) chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy lauded veteran swimmer Gandham Queen Victoria, who won five medals in the veterans swimming competition in Sri Lanka recently, at his chamber at the LB Stadium, Hyderabad on Thursday.
Victoria clinched three gold medals – in the 100m Backstroke, 200m Individual Medley and FreeStyle – in the International Veteran Swimming Meet in Sri Lanka. She bagged two silver medals in the 200m Backstroke and Medley relay.
SATS chief congratulated and felicitated her. He hoped she would bring more laurels to the State in the national and international levels.
He also assured the support on the behalf of the government. National Master Athletics Association (NMAA) president Marri Laxma Reddy, Prabhu Kumar Goud, long distance runner Jagan Mohan Reddy and others took part in the event.
