Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (North) a satta betting racket and caught six persons on Tuesday. The team seized Rs 47,300 from them.
Acting on a tip off, the team raided a house at Chilkalguda in Secunderabad and caught Sadashiva Naveen – organizer, Bojja Gopi – sub organizer and four punters – Akula Srinivas, W Satish Kumar, Kairamkonda Narsing Rao and Yadagiri Mallikarjun.
Naveen was organizing the betting with the help of his accomplices and was sharing the profits with Jaffar of Maharashtra. “Naveen was provided a user ID and password for online betting. He accepted the bets in cash or via Google Pay, Phone Pe and other payment gateways from the punters,” DCP (Task Force) P Radha Kishan Rao said.
The six persons were handed over to Chilkalguda police for further action.
