SaveLIFE Foundation hands over 15 breath analysers to Hyderabad traffic police

SaveLIFE Foundation has handed over 15 breath analysers to the Hyderabad Traffic Police under Project Sanjeevani. The equipment will help officers conduct faster, evidence-based drunk driving checks along the NH-44 corridor between Hyderabad and Adilabad and strengthen road safety efforts.

Hyderabad: In a step towards strengthening traffic rules enforcement in Hyderabad, SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF) on Wednesday handed over 15 breath analysers to the Hyderabad Traffic Police.

The initiative is part of Project Sanjeevani, the integrated post-crash trauma response and highway rescue protocol, being piloted by SaveLIFE Foundation in collaboration with the State Government and NHAI, with support from Vertis Infrastructure Trust, on the 251-km NH-44 corridor between Hyderabad and Adilabad.

The modern breath analysers will equip Hyderabad Traffic Police to conduct swift, evidence-based screening of drivers and deter drunk driving on and around the corridor, a press release said.

“The breath analysers will further enhance our capabilities, enabling our officers to detect and act against drunk driving more swiftly and accurately,” D Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad Traffic Police, said.

“Extending our support to the Hyderabad Traffic Police with these breath analysers is a natural extension of our commitment to Project Sanjeevani,” GVM Kiran Babu, COO, Vertis Infrastructure Trust, said.

Speaking on the occasion, Piyush Tewari, Founder and CEO, SaveLIFE Foundation, said
