Hyderabad: State Bank of India (Hyderabad Circle) finished third in the All India SBI Inter-circle football championship at Bhubaneshwar on Friday.

Hyderabad Circle defeated Gandhinagar Circle (Ahmedabad) 5-4 via penalty shoot-out after the teams were locked goalless at the end of full-time.


In the penalty shoot-out, Hyderabad Circle emerged victorious due to an excellent save by goalkeeper M Gopiah, who stopped the fourth penalty from Hemanth Meena, proving decisive in the outcome of the match.

For Hyderabad, Mohd Qizar, R Anand Kumar, P Prakash Rao, Zaki Raza and Mohd Fareed scored, while for Gandhinagar, R Pankaj, Vijayan, Umag Kunwar and Narender Chandra were successful in the penalty shoot-out.
