SBI organises mega blood donation camp in Khammam
Each blood donor was given a certificate and a gift. Speaking on the occasion, Regional Manager Rajasekhar said that everyone should donate blood to help those in medical emergencies.

Khammam: A mega blood donation programme was organised under the aegies of State Bank of India Khammam Region here on Tuesday.
The programme was held as part of the 70th foundation celebrations of SBI during which the bank aimed to donate 70,000 units of blood with nationwide blood donation camps. At the camp held at SBI Mamata Medical College road branch premises more than 123 SBI employees participated and donated blood.
The programme was inaugurated by SBI Khammam Regional Manager B Rajasekhar. AGM Mohan Nayak, SBI Officers Association AGS Sheikh Ibrahim, regional secretary R Shivakumar, HR manager Uday, SBI Staff union vice president Nandan, regional secretary Chinnappa Reddy and others also donated blood and made the programme a success.

Blood packets were handed over to the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society, Khammam which was treating thalassemia patients, especially underprivileged children affected by the disease, said a release.
