Sangareddy: Supreme Court Judge Justice Uday Umesh Lait and Chief Justice of Telangana High Court Justice Sathish Chandra Sharma will participate in a Pan India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign in Sangareddy on Sunday. The programme is being conducted as part of Azadi Ki Amrut Mahotsav by National Legal Services Authority (NLSA).

The programme will be held at Gokul Function Hall located on the outskirts of Sangareddy town. Member Secretary Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) Y Renuka and Principal District Judge Justice B Papi Reddy are overseeing the arrangements for the programme.

Speaking to news reporters on Saturday, Renuka said that they will organise a Mega Legal Services camp as part of the programme. Saying that they will receive the applications from the citizens on Centre and State government welfare schemes, the Member Secretary TSLSA said that they will ensure that they will get the benefits by forwarding the applications to respective departments if the applicants were found eligible for the benefit. She also called upon the citizens, who were not capable of hiring a lawyer on their own, to approach the District Legal Services Authority for assistance.

High Court Judges Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice T Vinod Kumar and others will also participate in the prorgamme.
