Kothagudem: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Director (Finance) N Balaram congratulated the company employee Anthoti Prabhakar who won awards in recent international art competitions.
The employee who works in the Singareni head office personnel department welfare wing has proved his mettle as a cartoonist, caricaturist and painter. His works have been selected for the art exhibition competitions in about 36 countries and they became popular.
Balram said the SCCL management has always been encouraging artistic skills in the company employees and extends support to them to hone their skills to excel in the field of art. Recently the company has organised a 10-day national symposium on stone sculpting in association with Hyderabad Arts and Cultural Foundation. Ten talented sculptors from different parts of the country attended the event, he informed.
The sculptors have created 10 contemporary sculptures and they would be installed at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad and at the head office in Kothagudem, he said. Prabhakar presented a painting in which he depicted Balaram, known for his passion for spreading greenery, planting a sapling.
