Kothagudem: The SCCL authorities have proposed to install long-range CCTV cameras to enhance security in key locations of the company areas across the State.
A video conference to review the security measures was held at the SCCL corporate office here on Monday with the Singareni company-wide General Managers, Director of Security and Estates Department officers.
Director (PA&W) N Balram in Kothagudem and Director (Operations) S Chandrasekhar from Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad participated in the review meeting. Issues like performance of existing CCTV cameras, deploying the SCCL and private security personnel at important locations and scrap disposal were discussed at the meeting.
Balaram directed the Estates and Security Department officials to take measures to stop private persons occupying vacant quarters and company lands and setting up a permanent residence.
Estates and security officials should work in coordination to prevent such encroachments, which were causing difficulties for the company in land acquisition, he said.
Chandrasekhar said the role of the Security Department was very important in the protection of Singareni assets and security personnel should work with discipline. He directed the security officials to take steps to stop theft of scrap from the company sites.
The meeting chaired by AGM (Security) B Hanumatha Rao was attended by GM (Estates) G Venkateshwar Reddy, GM (MS) Suresh Babu, GM (IT) Ram Kumar and others.
