Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has asked legal and personnel departments to lay more focus on resolving cases that were pending in various courts, and submit a report to the law department on the status of each case by December.

Reviewing the status of court cases at Singareni Bhavan here on Saturday, SCCL General Manager K Suryanarayana said most cases were related to land acquisition and rehabilitation, changes in date of birth and dependent service issues among others.

The law wing in each Singareni area should prepare details to be submitted to the court concerned to settle the case. In coordination with officials at the head office in Hyderabad, officials concerned must take necessary steps to settle the court cases.

Speaking during the meeting, SCCL standing counsel in High Court J Srinivasa Rao said, “The cases could be resolved if we have proper information about each case. The assistance of officials in each area is required to get detailed information.”
