Hyderabad: With the increasing demand for coal, Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is all set to increase its coal production to 2 lakh tonnes per day and dispatch 1.85 lakh tonnes. The company will also increase it’s over burden removal to 13.5 lakh tonnes per day.

In a video conference with the general managers of Singareni areas on Friday, SCCL chairman and managing director N Sridhar reviewed the performance in November and gave instructions on the targets for December. Accordingly, all the general managers have been instructed to increase daily transportation of 35 rakes from December onwards against 29 rakes (rail wagons) in November.

The chairman and managing director asked them to immediately finalise the contracts for the removal of over burden for new open cast mines at RKP Open Cast, Srirampur Open Cast, KTK Open Cast and RG-3 mines, to meet the increased coal production targets. He wanted to ground the new contract of JVR Open Cast mine at Sathupalli pertaining to 38 lakh cubic meters of coal.

The company will also commence coal production from the new panel at Adriala Longwall from January and also restart production at GDK-11 mine. He appreciated that production targets were achieved as expected in November from Kothagudem, Manuguru, Ramagundam-3 and Ramagundam-2 areas and suggested to strive forward with the same enthusiasm.
