Kamareddy: A large number of students staged a sit-in protest at the main road in Gandhinagar village of Lingampet mandal of the district expressing their anger over State run RTC buses not stopping at their village on Wednesday.

According to reports, the RTC bus drivers were not stopping at Gandhinagar village since the last few days following which the school children were facing difficulties in reaching their schools on time.

The students complained that despite multiple appeals to the RTC authorities, no action has been taken to address their concerns. They demanded an immediate solution to the issue.

The children complained that as the RTC buses were not stopping at their village they were reaching their schools late and as a result had to undergo punishments. The students were demanding timely and reliable bus services, which they say were crucial for their education and daily commute.

The parents argue that the State government wants children to study but it does not provide transportation to them to reach the school. “Do you want us to stop sending our children to school?. We just want the government to help our children reach their schools” a parent said.
