Adilabad: Collector Sikta Patnaik instructed the officials of education department, municipality and Panchayat Raj to make elaborate arrangements for conducting classes to students of Class VI, VII and VIII slated for Wednesday. She convened a review meeting with the authorities concerned here on Wednesday.
Sikta, stating that the government issued orders to begin the classes for the pupils of the three classes from February 24, asked the officials to ensure sanitisation of classrooms and to conduct classes by duly following Covid-19 guidelines. She asked them to take steps to make sure every student wears face masks and practices physical distancing for curbing the spread of the virus.
The IAS officer asked the officials to deploy staffers of the medical department to monitor the health condition of the pupils. She asked the mandal-level officials to regularly tour the schools and to report if students face any challenges owing to classes. She wanted them to take steps for better sanitation in the institutions in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
