Scindia announces Rs 2,500 crore defence plant of Adani in MP
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced a ₹2,500 crore defence manufacturing plant by Adani Group in Kolaras, Madhya Pradesh, expected to create 2,000 jobs and boost industrial growth while strengthening India’s defence production capabilities
Guna (MP): Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday announced a Rs 2,500 crore defence arms manufacturing plant of the Adani group in the Kolaras area of his Guna parliamentary constituency.
The plant will generate around 2,000 direct jobs, the Union Communications Minister said during a visit to the Shivpuri-Kolaras area.
It would come up within two months near Kolaras, about 70 km from here, at the junction of Kota Highway and Mumbai-Gwalior Highway, and address the long-pending demand of industrial development, he said. The defence equipment manufactured at the facility would contribute to protecting the country’s borders, said Scindia.
“Kolaras, known for agriculture and tomato production, will now emerge as an important centre of the country’s defence strength,” he stated.
