Hyderabad: A minor girl, who allegedly attempted suicide by self-immolation in Miyapur, died under treatment in the hospital on Friday.

The girl, a class seven student of a government school in Keesara, was staying with her parents in Haneef Colony in Miyapur.

Police said she is suspected to have been upset after an argument with her father over excess usage of mobile phone in the house, apart from the time when she had online classes.

She attempted suicide on Tuesday by self-immolation. She was immediately shifted to the Osmania General Hospital, where she died under treatment.

The Miyapur police are investigating.
