Hyderabad: Due to the continuous and heavy rains in the southern parts of the country, several trains have been affected. To ensure passengers’ safety, the South Central Railway has decided to cancel or divert a few trains.

Train numbers 17652 and 17651 (from Kacheguda to Chengalpattu, and back) have been cancelled to run on November 19.


A total of three trains have been diverted from the affected areas. Train numbers 12797 and 12798 (from Kacheguda to Chittoor, and back) operating on Friday, have been diverted via Gooty-Dharmavaram-Pakala. Similarly, train number 02777 (from Kacheguda to Mangaluru) scheduled for Friday, has been diverted via Gooty-Dharmavaram-KSR Bengaluru City.

Train numbers 07651 and 07652 (from Chengalpattu to Kacheguda, and back) on November 19, have been diverted via Moula Ali-Pagidipalli, Guntur, Tenali, Gudur, Renigunta.

Meanwhile, the authorities have decided the extend the run of four special trains connecting Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam, which were introduced during the festival times. Train number 08579 and 08585 (from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad) will run on November 24 and 30 respectively. Whereas, train numbers 08580 and 08586 (from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam) will operate on November 25 and December 1, respectively.
