SCR gets new Additional General Manager

Prior to the new assignment, he was serving as Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunications Engineer (PCSTE) on SCR

Hyderabad: Arun Kumar Jain assumed charge as Additional General Manager, South Central Railway, on Monday. Jain belongs to the Indian Railways Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), 1986 batch of Indian Engineering Services.

Prior to the new assignment, he was serving as Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunications Engineer (PCSTE) on SCR. During his tenure as PCSTE, the implementation of Train Collision Avoidance System has been given him highest priority, a press release said.

On SCR, he has worked as Divisional Railway Manager of Hyderabad Division. During his tenure as DRM, he was instrumental in augmenting passenger facilities at several stations and the division obtained four performance efficiency shields in various spheres including safety, security and transformation.

Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Gorakhpur and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
