SCR GM meets CM Revanth to expedite Telangana rail projects

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to discuss the various railway projects in the state on Thursday.
The meeting reviewed progress on key railway projects, including the Manoharabad–Kothapalli new line, Kazipet–Balharshah and Kazipet–Vijayawada third lines and Bibinagar–Guntur doubling.
Proposed projects under survey, such as the Vikarabad–Krishna and Dornakal–Gadwal new lines, a regional ring rail, and high-speed corridors between Hyderabad–Bengaluru and Hyderabad–Chennai were also discussed.
The Chief Minister assured state support for land acquisition and cost-sharing, emphasising that new rail lines should boost regional development. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the timely execution of projects.
