SCR IG Aroma Singh Thakur selected for President’s Medal

Inspector General Aroma Singh Thakur of South Central Railway has been selected for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. The honour was announced on Republic Day 2026, alongside the Medal for Meritorious Service.

Hyderabad: Aroma Singh Thakur, Inspector General, South Central Railway (SCR), has been selected for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.

On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) are awarded to officers and personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) in recognition of their dedicated service, professionalism and exemplary contribution to railway security.
