Hyderabad: As part of the week-long Vigilance Awareness Week, South Central Railway organised an Integrity Walkathon on October 31, at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad. Aimed to reaffirm the commitment of SCR to promote integrity and probity in public life, the walkathon was followed by a pledge on the occasion of National Unity Day.
Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager, Principal Heads of the departments, Chandrima Roy, Senior Deputy General Manager, Jayanthi Mallya, President, SCR Women’s Welfare Organisation, sports and civil defence personnel and staff participated in the events.
Railway officers and staff enthusiastically joined the walkathon early on Sunday morning. Addressing the participants, the General Manager stated that the mission to eliminate corruption needs determination and involvement of every citizen of the country.
The National Unity Day was also observed across all the divisions of South Central Railway — Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded.
