Hyderabad: With an aim to promote integrity and probity in public life, the South Central Railway is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 26 to November 1.
As part of the programme, Arun Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager, SCR, administered the integrity pledge on eradication of corruption in all spheres of public life to all the officers and staff at the Rail Nilayam, on Tuesday.
The theme for the current year’s Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) is “Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity”. The Vigilance wing of SCR will organise programmes during this week, which will include seminars/workshops/sensitisation programmes for SCR employees. A virtual function on Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) will also be held on October 29, which will be attended by Gajanan Mallya, GM, SCR.
A week-long special drive will be undertaken to create awareness among the public in general and the staff in particular against corruption by launching campaigns through posters and personal counseling by vigilance officials at important public and staff contact areas in the field. The event will conclude on November 1, with a sensitisation programme for SCR contractors/vendors and customers to create awareness on grievances.
