Visakhapatnam: The Bay of Bengal waves have eroded the Rama Krishna Beach in the city, leaving a stretch of nearly 200 metres badly damaged in the aftermath of Cyclone Jawad.

Also, the wall at the children’s park had collapsed and the benches broken due to strong waves lashing at them. With the advancement of the sea, cracks were found at many places in the region.

The district authorities on Sunday banned entry to visitors and barricades were erected preventing the public from entering the place.
