Khammam: The Section 30 of Police Act would be in force till January 31 under the limits of Khammam police commissionerate, informed Commissioner of Police (CP), Vishnu S Warrier.
In a statement here on Monday he said the Section 30 was being enforced to maintain law and order, hence no rallies or meetings should be held without permission from concerned authorities.
Leaders of various communities, political parties and associations were asked to co-operate with the police in the wake of the ban on the public mobilisation. The Section 30 was being implemented as part of precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incidents within the Khammam police commissionerate, CP said.
He also said that taking out processions with DJs playing loud music were not allowed in residential and commercial areas. Violators of the order would be liable to punishment under the Metropolitan City Police Act, 2016 IPC 188 and U / S 76, CP added.
