Secunderabad Club outclass SSBA Tarnaka in basketball league match

Secunderabad Club beat SSBA Tarnaka 52-29 to register a dominant win in the Annual League Basketball Championship for the GM Sampath Kumar Trophy at YMCA Secunderabad. Mamata Medical, Titans and Little Flower Old Boys also secured victories in their respective matches

Hyderabad: Secunderabad Club scored a 52-29 win against SSBA Tarnaka after leading 26-21 at half-time in the Annual League Basketball Championship for the GM Sampath Kumar Trophy at YMCA Secunderabad here on Friday.

Zain of Secunderabad Club scored 10 points in the first quarter alone. However, for SSBA, Karthikeya and Jashwath combined well to score 11 points as Secunderabad Club led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Pranav joined the scoring for Secunderabad Club along with Adnan, whereas SSBA, aided by two three-pointers, scored 10 points. Secunderabad Club led 26-21 at half-time.

After the change of ends, Secunderabad Club played a fast-paced game to score 18 points, and with tight defence restricted SSBA to just three points, taking a 44-24 lead at the end of the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Secunderabad Club continued in the same rhythm and won the match 52-29.

In other matches, Mamata Medical defeated All Staff KVBR 34-24 after leading 19-10 at half-time, while Little Flower Old Boys scored a 43-37 win against Rahimpura PG after leading 26-15 at half-time.

Titans defeated Alpha BB Academy 48-31 after leading 24-18 at half-time.
