Secunderabad Railway Police arrests man for thefts on trains

According to B. Anuradha, Superintendent of Police, Secunderabad, Jagroop Singh of Punjab confessed to five purse thefts and bag lifting offences.

Hyderabad: The Secunderabad Railway Police arrested a 50-year-old man on charges of thefts on running trains on Saturday.

According to B. Anuradha, Superintendent of Police, Secunderabad, Jagroop Singh of Punjab confessed to five purse thefts and bag lifting offences.


“We have recovered 102 grams of gold and 228 grams of silver, worth Rs 4.50 lakh,” she said, adding that if a suspicious person or object was noticed, passengers could inform the police by calling toll free numbers 1512, 182 and 100.
