Security beefed up at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Security was heightened at Telangana Bhavan, the headquarters of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), with deployment of police posse as a precautionary measure, following an attack on Mahaa TV office by unidentified persons on Saturday.

Additional security personnel were also stationed at other media offices located in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills area to avoid any untoward incidents.

Earlier, a group of individuals, identifying themselves as BRS supporters, staged a protest outside Mahaa News TV channel office in Jubilee Hills, accusing the channel of broadcasting false reports targeting the party’s working president.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon as the news channel aired multiple reports on the phone tapping case, linking it to the BRS leader.

These men arrived at the Telugu news office and staged a sit-in protest. They alleged that the TV channel’s staff assaulted them during the demonstration.

Following the incident, the police arrived at the scene and started an investigation. A case has been registered and the authorities are working to identify those individuals involved.
