Security measures in place with 1,300 policemen for Shobhyatra: Nizamabad CP
Nizamabad police have deployed 1,300 personnel and strengthened surveillance with 200 CCTV cameras and drones for the Ganesh immersion procession on September 25. Special teams will regulate traffic, while the police have urged participants to maintain peace and follow traffic rules
Nizamabad: Commissioner of Police P Sai Chaitanya said elaborate security arrangements had been made for the smooth conduct of the Shobha Yatra, or immersion procession of Ganesh idols, across the district on September 25.
In a press statement, Sai Chaitanya said foolproof security arrangements had been made by deploying 1,300 personnel to prevent untoward incidents during the procession in Nizamabad, Armoor and Bodhan divisions. He added that the arrangements were made in coordination with the Excise, Forest, NCC, NSS and several other departments.
The CP further said the procession routes would be covered by a robust patrolling system and monitored closely using 200 CCTV cameras and drones. Special teams had also been formed to regulate traffic during the event.
He urged participants to conduct the procession peacefully and follow traffic rules.
