Telugu director Sekhar Kammula on Thursday joined the Green India Challenge by planting saplings on either side of the national highway near Kanakamamidi village of Moinabad mandal, on the outskirts of the city.
The ‘Mahanati’ director has decided to plant saplings during the break hour of the shooting of his upcoming movie titled ‘Love Story’.
Speaking on the occasion, Sekhar Kammula hailed TRS MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar for his efforts and dedication to protect environment. “Santosh Kumar garu has been creating awareness among general public on how to protect trees that are already planted.
We can understand his dedication when nature lovers have been taking to Twitter to complain about the felling of trees. My special thanks to the MP for being supportive to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision of spreading green cover,” he said and later urged the entire ‘Love Story’ film unit to take part in the green initiative.
