Karimnagar: Senior BRS leaders, party workers and other sections of the people participated in final rites of Gangula Narsamma, the mother of Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar.

The final rites of Narsamma, who died of ill-health on Tuesday morning, were held at Markandeya nagar Swargadamam here on Wednesday. Former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, former ministers Vemula Prasanth Reddy and V Srinivas Goud, Huzurabad MLA Padi Koushik Reddy, formre MP B Vinod Kumar, Naradasu Laxman Rao, S Ravinder Singh and others participated in the funeral.


Earlier, they took part in the procession after paying tributes to Narsamma at Kamalakar’s residence.

District Collector Pamela Satpathy, Additional Collectors Praful Deshai and Laxmi Kiran and municipal commissioner Chahat Bajpai also paid homage to Narsamma.
