Senior Citizen assaulted over metro seat dispute at Lakdikapul metro station, three arrested

Three youths were arrested by Saifabad Police for allegedly assaulting a 62-year-old advocate at Lakdi-ka-pul metro station in Hyderabad. The altercation began when the senior citizen asked them to vacate seats reserved for elderly passengers.

Hyderabad: The Saifabad Police arrested three youths for allegedly misbehaving with and assaulting a senior citizen at the Lakdi-ka-pul metro station, after he allegedly requested them to vacate seats reserved for senior citizens.

The incident occurred on October 21, when one G Krishna Kishore (62), an advocate from Begumpet, boarded a metro train at Ameerpet.

The suspects S Sunil Kumar, S Rajesh and K Ashok abused him and during an altercation, allegedly pushed him onto the rail track, causing serious injuries.

Following a complaint, the Saifabad police booked a case and nabbed the trio. They were remanded in judicial custody.
