Senior Maoist leader Bandi Prakash surrenders before Telangana DGP
Senior CPI (Maoist) leader and Telangana State Committee member Bandi Prakash alias Prabhat, associated with the movement for over 45 years, reportedly surrendered before DGP B Shivadhar Reddy on Tuesday. Prakash earlier led the Singareni Workers’ Union and held key organisational posts.

Hyderabad: A senior CPI (Maoist) leader and Telangana State Committee member, Bandi Prakash alias Prabhat has reportedly surrendered before Telangana DGP B Shivadhar Reddy on Tuesday.
According to the police, Prakash has been associated with the Maoist movement for over 45 years, holding several key positions in the party’s hierarchy.
He most recently served as the National Park Area Organiser, a strategically significant post within the Maoist network.
Before joining the underground movement full-time, Bandi Prakash was active in workers’ unions and even served as the President of the Singareni Workers’ Union, an organisation believed to have links with the Maoists.
