Mancherial: As part of the ongoing Financial Literacy Week initiative being organised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), District Collector Bharati Hollikeri unveiled wall posters of the event here on Monday. She was joined by Additional Collector D Madhusudan Naik. The theme chosen for this year is ‘Go Digital and Go Secure.’

Bharati requested bankers to sensitise citizens on financial literacy and added that everyone should have awareness of digital transactions. She urged the public to know the importance of digital payments and advised customers not to disclose passwords of online accounts and one-time passwords to unknown persons.

Lead bank manager Haveli Raju said that the objective of the programme was to create awareness among the public over financial literacy and to spread the message. He stated that the event was conducted in all banks across the district. District Rural Development Organisation Sheshadri, District BC Development Officer Khaza Nazim and SC Corporation Executive Director Durga Prasad and several others were present.
