Hyderabad: The service road beside the LB Nagar Vehicular Underpass (VUP) will be closed for one month starting from Thursday.
Accordingly, the free left traffic that has to go towards the Vijayawada side will have to take alternate routes. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) said in a press release that the road was closed due to construction of the Right Hand Side (RHS) of the LB Nagar VUP. The works were underway at a brisk pace, officials said, adding that the project was likely to be completed by January 31, 2022.
“Deep excavation has to be carried out near the LB Nagar police station for construction of a retaining wall towards the Secunderabad side. It is highly risky to commute through this route, therefore the service road beside the LB Nagar VUP has to be closed,” the GHMC said in the press release.
The Traffic Police and the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation were also informed about the road closure on Thursday, officials said.
