Set up isolation centres in PHCs: Jagadish Reddy
Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy has instructed officials to see that shortage of remdesivir injections and oxygen would not arise in the government hospitals
Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Wednesday instructed the officials to set up isolation centres in 18 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the district.
Jagadish Reddy, speaking at a review meeting with officials on the Covid situation and paddy procurement, said that 18 PHCs i.e Chandoor, Chityal, Kanagal, Kethepally, Munugode, Thipparthi, Damaracherla, Haliya, Nidmanoor, Peddavoora, Vemulapally, Dindi, Gurrampode, Mallepally, Gudipally, Marriguda, Nampally and PA Pallay were identified as 24X7 PHCs. He instructed the district Collector Prasant Jeevan Patil to take measures for isolation facility to the corona patients in these PHCs. He cautioned that remdesivir injections supplied to government hospitals should not be illegally diverted to anyone. He has instructed the officials to see that shortage of remdesivir injections and oxygen should not arise in the government hospitals in any way.
Prashant Jeevan Patil told that the positivity rate was 9.03 percent in Nalgonda district. Out of the total collected swab samples of 4.5 lakhs for the test, 40,696 persons tested positive for Covid-19. Presently, 10, 209 patients were under home isolation and 703 patients were getting treatment in different hospitals. The recovery rate was 72.64 percent as 29,560 patients recovered. He said that fever survey was taken up in the district with 1,400 teams.
He asked the people to bring to the notice of the officials if anyone was involved in selling medicines including remdesivir at high price.
