Seven held for gambling in Mancherial

Mancherial: Seven persons were arrested by sleuths of a Task Force team for gambling in a house at Tilaknagar here on Sunday midnight. A total of Rs 25,860 in cash, five mobile phones and four motorbikes were recovered from them.

Task Force Inspector T Kiran said that the accused were Jadav Rahul, Banti Vinay, Chandragiri Mahesh, Gunta Prasad, Kotta Santosh, Peddapalli Sai Krishna and Elkari Sudhakar, all belonging to different parts of the town.

The seven were detained when they were indulging in the offence at the residence of Rahul, following a tip. They were handed over to Mancherial town policemen for taking further action. Sampath Kumar and Bhaskar Goud of the Task Force took part in the raid.
