Seven held for possessing narcotics in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Prohibition and Excise department arrested seven persons in two separate cases for allegedly possessing narcotics. Hyderabad: The Prohibition and Excise department arrested seven persons in two separate cases for allegedly possessing narcotics.
In the first case, the excise department officials arrested Durga Prasad of Kancherpalem in Visakhapatnam, B Raghavender of Kukatpally, Raja Harshadev of Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar, and Gopichand and Rachakonda Ganesh, both residents of Saroornagar for allegedly selling hashish oil, officials said.
As many as 795 grams of hashish oil, two bikes and five mobile phones were seized from the possession of the arrested persons. Durga Prasad purchased hashish oil at Rs.50,000 and reached Hyderabad by bus.
He started selling five grams each for Rs.2,500 per small tin. Durga Prasad and four others were caught during raids conducted at Nagole crossroads, Balkampet and Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar.
In the second case, the State Task Force of Prohibition and Excise department conducted raids at AC Guards and detained two persons Mahammed Sufiyan Ali and Mahammad Tahran Ali for allegedly procuring narcotic and psychotropic substances (schedule H1) drugs from medical distributors, officials said.
Over 450 narcotics tablets and two mobile phones were seized from the arrested persons.
