Several engineering students injured in Kothagudem bus accident
Several students of a private engineering college were injured after the bus they were travelling in overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Kothagudem on Friday. The injured were shifted to hospitals for treatment

Kothagudem: Several students of a private engineering college were injured as a bus in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Kothagudem on Friday.
The bus was going to Paloncha from Manugur, carrying students of KLR Engineering College of Paloncha, when the incident occurred at the Mondikunta forest area in Aswapuram mandal. There were around 50 students in the bus.
It was said that the bus driver lost control and the vehicle veered off the road before tumbling into the ditch. A girl student was said to have broken one of her hands after getting stuck between the bus seats, while several others suffered minor bleeding injuries.
Passersby helped the police shift the injured to the Government Area Hospital in Bhadrachalam for treatment. The student with the broken hand was said to have been shifted to Khammam for better treatment. The cause of the accident was not clear. The local police are investigating the case.
