Several persons injured by Chinese manja in Kothagudem

A youth suffered a bleeding injury in his leg due to Chinese manja in Kothagudem
Kothagudem: Despite police cracking down on Chinese manja sellers several persons have been injured due to Chinese manja in Kothagudem in the past few days.
A man Bhukya Naveen and his wife Supraja of Paloncha town suffered bleeding injuries in their necks and other parts as the manja entangled them while they were traveling on a two-wheeler on Wednesday. The incident took place on the bypass road of Vidyanagar Colony in Kothagudem.
Similarly, a youth riding a two-wheeler was seriously injured while travelling on a two wheeler at Singareni Children’s Park in town. One of his legs was cut by the manja and locals who noticed the incident provided first aid and rushed him to the hospital.
On Tuesday, a student was seriously injured by Chine manja at Ramavaram in the town. The boy suffered a deep cut on one of the legs by the manja while he was pillion riding on a motorbike.
Though several such incidents were taking place many of them were not being reported. The public wants the governments to take the matter seriously and launch strict measures to stop the use of Chinese manja for the safety of humans and birds.
