Sevitha emerges champion of U-18 UCCF Telangana Chess Championship

Hyderabad: M Sevitha Vijju bagged top honours with three points in the U-18 girls category of the UCCF Telangana State U-12, U-18 boys and girls Chess Championship held at the L B Stadium, Hyderabad on Sundy.

Nature Bethi and Narahari Geethika Hasini settled for the second and third places respectively. The top two performers will represent Telangana State in the upcoming National Championship.

U-12 Boys: 3rd Round: 1 Nithik Reddy Bhavanam (2) lost to Challa Saharsha (2), 2 Ehaan Shaikh (2) bt Yohan Yadav Tarala (2), 3 Aarush Bathula (2) lost to Sriram Adarsh Uppala (2), 3 Kavish Aryan Lanka (2) bt Sree Rama Anjani Kumar K (2), 4 Aniruddha Chatterjee (2) lost to Meesala Vamshi (2);

Girls: 1 Durga Karthika Lellapalli (2) bt CHEPURI SRIKRUTHI (2), 2 HASINI KOPPULA (2) lost to Kirthika B (2), 3 Thota Hrithika (2) bt Modipalli Deekshitha (2), 4 Sahejdeep Kaur (2) lost to Saranya Devi Narahari (2), 5 Tanvee Tokala (2) bt Aarohi Mathur (2);

U-18 Boys: 1 Ramadugu Akshay (2) lost to Chidvilash Sai Surapaneni (2), 2 Srujan Keerthan Solletti (2) bt Sri Charan Sandipagu (2), 3 Rajkumar (2) lost to Dhruva Thota (2), 4 Sushanth Kamabathula (2) bt Suryasaahas Reddi K V V R (2), 5 Shaik Sumer Arsh (1½) bt Rohith N (1½).
